World Book Day

We were amazed by all your creativity as we enjoyed World Book Day this week. The school was full of colour as the children and staff arrived in fancy dress costume depicting a wide variety of book characters. Look at our photos (more will be added soon) and try to guess which character we are! Thank you to the whole school community for your support with this event. It certainly was a very memorable day for our children and, hopefully, it has inspired each child to read at least one new book.  All in all the day proved to be a wonderful celebration of books.

If you need ideas for a good book for your child, please visit your child’s class page on our website (https://www.hattonhill.co.uk/classes). There you will find two leaflets, one gives 50 recommended reads for your child’s year group and the other is the Book Trust’s Great Book Guide 2021. There is so much fabulous children’s literature to explore. Your child will have come home with a World Book Day voucher which will give you £1.00 off the purchase of a new book. Happy reading!
