Celebrate
We want to use this section of our website to celebrate the achievements of the Hatton Hill community beyond the school gates. Extra-curricular activities help children develop confidence and self-esteem; learn new skills and improve social skills, so they should be celebrated.
Your child(ren) may have had a sporting achievement or tried something new... Perhaps they raised some money for charity or helped out in your community... Please email us a photo* with a little explanation and we will add you to our celebration gallery. You may inspire someone else to take up a new activity!
*Please ensure it is just your child(ren) in the photo.
Alzheimer's Research UK Charity Walk
We were proud to learn that Harley in Year 5 has completed a 5K charity walk at Sefton Park to raise money for Alzheimer's Research UK. Harley raised an amazing £280.00 for this very worthwhile cause. Well done, Harley!
The Sound of Music
Congratulations to Maple who is currently learning The sound of Music for a show with Lipa. She won Star of the Week for knowing all the words to the songs. She is one of the youngest members of the class and we are all very proud of her for working so very hard.
Football Success
Congratulations to Jack, Daniel and their team, Litherland Athletic Under 9 Blacks, who won the Bootle JFL League! An amazing achievement!
Mixed Martial Arts
Congratulations to Ava Jade who has successfully passed another grading. The confidence, self-discipline and respect learned through martial arts is definitely a life-skill. Well done, Ava Jade. We are really impressed.
Brownie Points!
Isabella has been working towards her 'Charity' badge at Brownies. She worked really hard to bake cakes and cookies, then sold them to Brownies, Guides and their leaders at St. Paul's. Isabella raised an amazing £72.30 which will be donated to a local charity, Halle's Hub. It is wonderful to see our children showing generosity of spirit to make a positive difference within our community.
Lest we Forget
We are really proud of Dezi Lea for representing her unit during such an important event.
On Sunday I took part in my first remembrance parade as a junior Sea Cadet in memory of those that fought for us in the 1st and 2nd World Wars. We had a church service in church and then we formed up out side and marched down to higher Bebington British Legion, on our parade. We had our unit band, our unit platoon which I was fell in, we also had Rainbows, Brownies, the Scouts and loads more. My mum SGT (scc) Mealand was the parade commander and was in charge of the whole parade! I was really nervous before parade, but I had loads of fun and enjoyed it even though it was really cold an our uniforms was wet with the rain.
Morris Dancing Success
Congratulation to Allana and friends who attend the Sefton Sapphires Morris Dancing troupe. At their first ever champs, they won troupe of the year. Look at that amazing trophy!
Compliment from the Community
We were delighted to receive an email complimenting Harley's contribution to his local Disc Golf community:
Harley has not only developed his playing skills and standards, through his perseverance and determination, but also established himself as part of the Liverpool Disc Golf Community team, through assisting in the set up and running of sessions, and showing new participants how to play, offering encouragement. Harley is always positive, inclusive and happy to help; we just wanted to make sure we commend him for his citizenship and inclusivity and let you know of his stellar community focus!
Wonderful feedback. Keep up the good work!
Litter Picking Stars
Well done to Isabella and Lily who, supervised by their parents, regularly go litter picking to keep our neighbourhood looking nice. In just one evening, the girls collected three bags full of rubbish and received a chocolatey reward from a grateful resident. It might not be a glamorous job, but it is fabulous to see our pupils showing an understanding of the importance of looking after our environment. We are proud of you girls!
Star Dancer
Congratulations to Amelia who is holding her Star Dancer of the Year trophy. This achievement has taken a lot of hard work and dedication. Very well done!
Eco Warriors
Well done Tippi, Zuzu and family who joined with others in Southport during the holiday to clean up the beach. Lots of litter was collected which will ensure the beach is safer for people and wildlife as well as making the beach look even more beautiful.
