Reception Trip to Walton Hall Gardens

Class: Reception Year: 2021 - 2022

Reception children were so excited for their first school trip, visiting Walton Hall Park and Gardens near Warrington.  We explored the park and lake and met the animals in ‘The Children’s Zoo’. Children all enjoyed exploring the Playground and Red and Purple classes met to have a lovely picnic lunch together!

Children behaved exceptionally and all developed their sense of independence away from the familiar home and school environments. The beautiful park was like a “jungle” sparking children’s imagination. Children could make links to recent learning about plants and trees and they enjoyed searching for butterflies and caterpillars too!
