Reception Reading Morning - The Gingerbread Man
Class: Reception Year: 2021 - 2022
On May 19th, Reception hosted an open morning to celebrate our love of reading and stories. We enjoyed a day dedicated to one of our favourite traditional stories, ‘The Gingerbread Man’.
Children invited their adults to join us for the morning.
We were thrilled to have our adults join us for carpet-time and to share the story with us. We then enjoyed reading and writing activities, we played phonics games, we re-told the story, built bridges, we designed Gingerbread men and even decorated our own Gingerbread men biscuits.
Adults had a lovely time joining their children in class and seeing what happens in Reception.
