Year 4, 5 and 6 children in our junior choir had an unexpected opportunity when they were invited to sing at Merseyside Police’s annual carol service. With very short notice, children, staff and parents rose to the occasion. In her address to the congregation, the Chief Constable, mentioned the excellent relationship which has developed between Hatton Hill and Merseyside Police through the Mini Police project. Every year Merseyside Police provide our Year 6 children with amazing and unique opportunities; it was a pleasure to be able to give something back. I have received so many compliments about the choir’s singing, but also the behaviour which typifies the vast majority of Hatton Hill pupils. I must also say a special thanks to Miss Butcher who both nurtures voices and confidence, enabling our children to sing with such beauty.
