Year 2 had a wonderful trip to the Museum of Liverpool to enhance their learning of art beyond the classroom. In art, they have been looking at the work of the artist Ben Johnson and his painting of the Liverpool waterfront. The children loved having the experience of seeing his painting in real life, taking part in a Best Buildings workshop and seeing the iconic Liverpool buildings up close! They had the opportunity to sketch the buildings from the award winning window of the museum and even more art in the museum classroom. The teachers were very proud of their sensible behaviour and their knowledge of the painting shown to the museum staff.
