Understanding the Orbits in Our Solar System

To better understand the movement of the planets in our solar system, their order, and their relative distance and rotation around the Sun, we formed a human solar system.

The children were given different-sized balls and each was assigned a planet in the correct order. They were then placed in order from the Sun. Walking around the Sun, we were able to see how the "years" on the planets are dictated by the time they take to orbit . We even attempted to show how the Moon orbits our Earth.
