Ingleborough Caves

Year 6 enjoyed their final leavers’ trip which took us to Yorkshire, up a hill and then into a cave. Going into a cave is a unique experience so children were able to gaze at artefacts which are totally unique to that environment – stalactites, stalagmites, flow stone and stone columns created over thousands of years. There was a real sense of awe and wonder amongst the children. Ingleborough Caves is a particularly good first cave experience as the caves are navigated via a footpath and don’t go too deep under the ground. In addition, the entrance price is reasonable. If you are looking for a day out over the holiday, the Ingleton area is a great place to visit with beautiful walks and landscape very different from our own coastal spaces. Here are some ideas:
