Y6 Beth Munro - Meeting a Paralympian Silver Medalist

Class: Year 6 Year: 2021 - 2022

We were lucky enough to meet Beth Munro – Silver medallist in Taekwondo.

She told us about how she had lived with her disability for her whole life but how it had never held her back.  She showed us how she had learned to tie her laces with one hand, became a competitive netball player and then a professional sports person.  She made it clear that she had to work very hard, but also that she loved what she does.

Beth was an inspiration.  She helped us to understand that we can conquer barriers with the right attitude.  It is clear that her job is not a job for life however, it is also very clear that whatever follows she will do successfully because of her attitude.
