Y6 A Visit to J7

Class: Year 6 Year: 2021 - 2022

One of the best parts of my jobs is visiting classes and watching children learn. My visit to J7 was a pleasure. The children have been writing information texts based on the fictional planet of 'Pandora' from the film, Avatar. The children have watched clips from the film which depict the animals and plantlife as inspriation for their writing. Using langauge drawn from across the curriculum, J7 children have created reports which make fiction seem like fact. I was impressed with the high level of writing skills, but also the children's knowledge of their own targets and what they need to do to improve their own writing. They are certainly mature and avid writers. Well done, J7, and thank you to our Year 6 teachers for creating such an exciting and motivating topic which has inspired our children.
