A Day at the Seaside

Class: Year 2 Year: 2023 - 2024

Having studied Victorian seaside resorts, Year 2 had lots of fun on their trip to Southport and were very lucky with the weather. To begin, we walked down to the beach and spent some time sketching and observing the pier. After lunch, we enjoyed building sandcastles and collecting shells, then we headed over to the carousel for a ride. We cooled down with an ice-cream then walked along to the adventure playground, where we climbed and swung from the equipment there. Not much has changed in 100 years. It was a lovely day and enjoyed by both the children and the staff!
